open spaces | secret places. Works from the VERBUND COLLECTION

€ 28,00

Description

The perception of places and spaces is the subject of this volume. Tom Burr, Teresa Hubbard/Alexander Birchler, Joachim Koester and Jeff Wall mysteriously stage the periphery and non-places and subject them to a search for historical traces. Louise Lawler questions the museum as a place for art presentation. Gordon Matta-Clark deconstructs spaces and houses. Ceal Floyer and Janet Cardiff/Georges Bures Miller stage spaces of remembrance. Ernesto Neto, Fred Sandback and Anthony McCall make space individually experienceable. The artists use a variety of media such as photography, lightboxes, installations, objects, sculptures and audio-visual staging.

Published for the exhibition of the same name at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg in 2012.
