Description

The Viennese photographer and artist Marina Faust is the 17th winner of the photo prize at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg, which has been awarded since 1983. The "Otto Breicha Prize for Photographic Art - Museum der Moderne Salzburg" has been awarded since 2007 in memory of the first director of the former "Museum for Modern Art and Graphic Collection - Rupertinum".
On the occasion of Faust's first comprehensive overview exhibition, the artist's book, which is divided into nine groups of works, spans works from the 1970s from the artist's archive to current works. In these she deals with new interpretations of her photographic oeuvre and finds new pictorial forms for this. In addition, she works with videos, installations and collages, which emphasize the broad spectrum of her work.
